  1. The wasp is a winged INSECT, related to the
  2. BEE and the ANT. Wasps have biting mouthparts
  3. and a thin stalk attaching the thorax to the
  4. abdomen. The female wasp has a sting which 
  5. can be used repeatedly for paralizing prey.
  6. In all solitary wasps the female lays a 
  7. single egg in a nest. Some wasp species
  8. build nests from mud.
